Tobias Bärtsch (b. 1993 in Walenstadt, Switzerland) is a Swiss-Polish artist and writer living and working in Zurich, Switzerland.

As an interdisciplinary artist, I work with text, installation, and digital media to explore narratives moving between local folklore and global memes.

Whether these stories are real or not, they contain and make tangible our fears and desires. They feel like ghosts in the half anonymous digital sphere, shifting between escapism and ideological hardening. 

I'd like to think that these stories are not only symptoms of cultural and social exhaustion but also possible ways out of it.
